Food was ordered over the phone as takeaway & order was taken with understanding. The order was repeated back and upon pickup, order was paid and received correctly. The food was incredible and enjoyed. We will definitely be back when we visit Kiama again.

Zia’s used to be our family go-to spot when it was on Manning Street, and we always looked forward to dining there whenever we visited Kiama. This was our first time at the new location, but sadly it was a major letdown. It seems like the place has completely lost its cosy Italian family vibe and the authentic homemade food we loved. The garlic bread tasted like cheap frozen stuff, and the pizza bases were brittle, flavorless, and clearly came frozen in a box. The toppings were disappointing too, pre-shredded deli ham and pre-cooked chicken straight out of a packet. The service didn’t help matters either. It felt perfunctory at best. The kitchen and wait staff were a group of teenagers more interested in hanging out behind the bar than taking care of customers. The young lady at the door didn’t even bother walking us to our table, just pointed to an empty one. She took our order and brought the food, but there was no friendliness or engagement, not even a smile or a check-in on our meal. No shade to them, they’re just kids doing the bare minimum for a paycheck, but need guidance and supervision. Honestly, we left wishing we’d just got pizza at Domino’s for half the price. At least they make their own pizza dough! Sadly, this will be our last visit to Zia’s.

Visiting Kiama for a holiday and decided for our last night that we would order in some Italian. It was a 90 minute wait when we called, which was fine considering the dinner rush and we were happy to wait. We ordered a prosciutto, rocket and Parmesan pizza, a spaghetti bolognaise and a spaghetti marinara. When the food arrived, the pizza was cold and looked completely uncooked. The pasta tasted and looked like tinned spaghetti. The marinara had what tasted like reheated-frozen seafood. Bland and mushy. Disappointed to say the least for a $100 meal. We called the restaurant about the pizza and they advised that all the toppings are added to the pizza base after the base is cooked. I gave the service 3/5 as they were willing to send another pizza to us. We requested a cooked pizza with the topping cooked (noting we were happy for an alternate pizza-type if the one we ordered didn’t have cooked topping). We received a second, worse pizza. The rocket was in a container (deconstructed-style), it looked as if it had no Parmesan on it whatsoever and the prosciutto was so stingy. Embarrassingly bad food.

Zia’s Cafe – A Hidden Gem in Kiama Zia’s Cafe in Kiama is a must-visit spot for anyone who loves delicious food and a cozy atmosphere. I first visited this place while traveling from Korea and couldn’t forget the experience, so I had to come back a second time! Getting there was quite the journey—I took a train all the way from Sydney, but it was absolutely worth it. The pizza here is incredible, with a perfect crispy crust and rich toppings. Pairing it with a glass of red wine made the meal even more enjoyable. The staff are friendly, and the warm, inviting ambiance makes you feel right at home. If you’re ever in Kiama, I highly recommend stopping by Zia’s Cafe. It’s a place that leaves a lasting impression!

Service was attentive but unfortunately the food was really bad, especially for the price. Very few toppings on our pizza at all - looked and tasted very unappetizing. Can't remember ever seeing a pizza look this bad. Some of the other food we had was ok but not great. Our cutlery was also covered in dried food, though they quickly replaced them with freshly-washed sets. Avoid the pizzas at all costs.
