Stayed at the Mercure for our wedding weekend. Katrina the events coordinator was beyond help and accommodating to our needs and situation. Planning a wedding at the Mercure was very easy and flexible, within reason, their packages are extremely customizable and the team is more than happy to work with different needs. You can only set up reception from 11:30am due to resort buffet breakfast, but this worked for us as we only had simple decorations. The food was excellent! My family and I visited the restaurant prior to the wedding day to try out their food and it was amazing then and on the wedding day. Tasted fantastic and was plated beautifully. After canapes, a dinner bread roll prior to entrees, entrees AND mains, guests were very happily full. The bar staff were all absolutely amazing and very quick to remove empty glasses and offer a replacement. The bridal suite was very spacious and perfect for accommodating a bridal party the morning of. Due to a mistake with my hairdresser, we did have our hair styled off site which may have proven better as I'm not sure were they would've set up their equipment in the suite with appropriate power outlets close to mirrors. The room was very clean and felt luxurious, especially the steps into a very spacious bathroom - keep that in mind though that there are steps. Overall, if you're after a great location for an intimate wedding for an affordable price, would recommend Mercure Gerringong.
We had 2 nights on a weekend as my son and I were going further south to a music festival on the Saturday. My wife, son and I love this place, we made it for Happy Hour on the Friday and had cheap beers and cocktails before enjoying a great meal in the restaurant. We still managed to fit a swim in before 9pm in the top pool, the water was warm. Our room had plenty of space but a great balcony overlooking the lower pool. Rooms were spotless and the resort well maintained. Staff are friendly and professional. Thanks to the resort for finding my reading glasses in the carpark and mailing them to me, (thanks Sarah). All the staff were great, in the bar and restaurant for dinner and breakfast as well as the friendly cleaners. Looking forward to heading back for another perfect weekend.
Love this Hotel and we have been quite a few times. The garden setting is wonderful and very relaxing. However the restaurant has been disappointing. Food expensive (dinner) but not up to scratch. Very slow to take and receive orders. A few times our order has been wrong or food not hot enough. Need to lift their game ans menu choices average.
The hotel is located away from the main town in a bushland setting. Our room was spacious and clean. Two swimming pools, one for adults only which is nice. We ate at the restaurant and enjoyed a couple of drinks during happy hour beforehand. The staff member looking after the bar/restaurant was exceptional. She was friendly and efficient and is definitely an asset to the hotel (wish I'd gotten her name!). Our meals were delicious and well-proportioned. The bed was comfortable, TV was modern and large and the shower was hot with good pressure.
The room was very clean and spacious and well presented. The bed was very comfortable and roomy. The kitchenette was well equipped also having a really good size fridge and two element cooking top. The bathroom was spacious with a good size bench and a good size bath with shower with very nice products as well. A great size TV and a lovely private sitting area out the back would definitely recommend and would stay there again, great value
