Such a beautiful spot! It can get a bit windy, but that just adds to the adventure. We were lucky enough to see the blowhole in action, even at the lowest tide (5 PM), shooting a stream of water into the air! Just below the hill, there’s a stunning natural pool where we watched the ocean put on a show—waves crashing over the cliffs, creating an incredible, splash-filled scene. Definitely a place worth visiting!

The Kiama Lighthouse was a gentle feast for the eyes. Went there during sunset and the scenery was amazing, vibes felt like i was looking at a monet painting if I can be a lil dramatic.
The slight smell of the sea, the winds, the soft grass and the neverending view of the horizon are all the things that made the visit extra wonderful.
Would definitely go back again!
Went on a weekend, a little crowded but not suffocating. No tickets needed, public space. Wheelchair accessible to a certain point. Has parking spaces.

The Kiama Lighthouse, perched on Blowhole Point, is one of the most iconic landmarks on the South Coast of New South Wales. Built in 1887, this historic lighthouse stands 36 meters above sea level, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, Kiama Harbour, and the surrounding coastline.
Today, we visited the lighthouse with family and friends, enjoying the clear skies and cool ocean breeze. The white tower contrasted beautifully against the deep blue sky, making for stunning photo opportunities. We also explored the nearby Kiama Blowhole, where we were lucky enough to see powerful sprays of water shoot high into the air.
The area around the lighthouse is perfect for a leisurely stroll, with well-maintained walking paths, grassy picnic spots, and fascinating historical plaques detailing the site’s maritime past. The Kiama Pilot’s Cottage Museum, located nearby, provided an interesting glimpse into the lighthouse keeper’s life in the 19th century.

Visiting Kiama Lighthouse was an absolutely breathtaking experience! Perched atop a hill with panoramic views of the ocean, the location itself is stunning and offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle. The view of the Pacific Ocean is truly mesmerizing, especially during sunrise or sunset, when the colors of the sky reflect beautifully on the water.
What made the visit even more special was the nearby Kiama Blowhole. It’s an awe-inspiring natural phenomenon that leaves you in wonder every time it sprays water high into the air. The sound and force of the water crashing through the blowhole are both thrilling and humbling. Be sure to check the tide schedules, as the blowhole is at its most active during high tide.
