Weekend drive to South Coast and stopped by for an early lunch, they welcomed us and even though we were ordering just the 1 fish n chips, they were happy to serve us.
Chips were real good and fish was pretty decent as well for $16 and a short wait. Opened on time at 10 in the morning. Will be back for more, as a side note how beautiful is the view from round the corner.

The burger was nice, but given there was barely anyone in the shop, I could have made it in half the time. Would be nice for the server to smile at customers rather than look like it’s the worst day of their lives. An upbeat positive and happy atmosphere can make a world of difference

Avoid at all costs since the new owners have taken over the food is oily and tasteless, ordered fish cocktail’s potato scallops and a chiko roll. The fish cocktails were dripping in oil and were tasteless the potato scallops were also oily and all you could taste was the batter was wondering if there was any potato in them and the chiko roll was so overcooked I thought I would chip a tooth trying to bite into it ended up throwing the whole order in the bin will not be going back.

Very poor service and experience: We ordered food during off-peak hours (2pm) and had to wait for over half an hour. Everyone who arrived after us got their food, and some even finished eating and left. My husband had to ask twice before we finally got our food. On top of that, they handed us a bunch of food wrapped in paper in a very disorganised way, and when we opened it, we found that some of the items weren’t even ours. We asked them for some ketchup as a dipping sauce, and they gave us an entire bowl in a salad bowl and charged us five dollars for it. I think they’re out of their minds

I’m not a hard marker but the fish & chips was ok but I’d definitely prefer quality over quantity. Generous serve but honestly tasted somewhat average for a coastal town .not local produce for sure.
Shop & staff were clean & helpful , so not a bad review by any means but a fair amount for improvement on the Hake fillet & chips .
