    My friend and I had booked in for back to back double appointment of manicures and pedicures. (We got a deal on groupon). My friend had to unfortunately cancel because she had food poisoning but the staff requested that I still attend my appointment. Upon attendance, I was notified that I was never booked in. When I corrected her that I was, she insisted that we were never booked in and that my friend was advised of this on the phone this morning. They then offered a spot 5 hours later. I explained that I had travelled nearly an hour to be here and I can't wait 5 hours for my appointment when I was supposed to be in at 1pm and was specifically told that morning that I can still keep my appointment. I was then able to produce the booking confirmation that showed that it was actually booked in for that date and time, to which I was met with "yes well your friend cancelled it". First of all, the stories clashed, which was it? We were never booked in, or you accidentally cancelled both appointments instead of the one? Then I showed her the confirmation message from the beautician confirming that I was still attending and the lady claimed that she never heard back about the appointment so assumed it was never confirmed. I then showed her the evidence that it was read and responded to which she then lastly claimed that it 'wasn't showing up on her end of the messages and she just looked at them to see and it wasn't there'. The beauty of Facebook messenger is it shows you when the opposing party has opened the message. This still wasn't good enough for her. I am still trying to work out which lie she was going with, first claiming the booking never existed and she told us on the phone then claiming that it was cancelled that morning doesn't even align. The frank bluntness and lack of sincerity or acceptance for the mistake was what upset me most. I get that sometimes mistakes can happen in all business, but it would have been better service to just admit they accidentally mucked it up and apologise than to try and lie and cover it up, turn it back on us. I then asked how we go about getting a refund and she said "well that has nothing to do with us". When inasked if that meant I apply through groupon, she said "yes, groupon. Nothing to do with us". Well... I would say it has alot to do with you seeing as you sell through groupon and you got our money for a service that wasn't provided. Its funny how business are happy to take the money from a groupon booking but as soon as there is an issue they act as though they have no power all of sudden and refuse to give assistance when required for a refund. Very poor service. Poor attitude. Poor professional conduct. Poor organsational skills. Poor people skills.
